Responsibilities:OBXtek is in McLean, VA and is currently seeking an HR Generalist II that aligns business objectives with employees and management in the designated support areas of DOL compliance, employee relations, HR liaison, employee morale activities and on-boarding/out-processing in support of over 150 employees and several managers.HR Generalist II will anticipate, assess and complete HR-related tasks. He/She will seek to develop and communicate integrated solutions and formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. In addition, the HR Generalist II will act as employee champion and change agent.The HR Generalist II will focus mainly on employee relations, policy and procedure development and interpretation, employee morale activities, training, new hire on-boarding, hiring/termination, and other human resources duties.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigationsManage company training programCoordinate on boarding and out processing for employeesMaintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory complianceWork closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retentionDevelop, implement and administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company employees; provide HR Policy guidance and interpretationAssist with benefits, HRIS management, and employee morale programsAnalyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policiesMaintain Human Resource Information System records and compile reports from databasePerform general HR dutiesQualifications:Education/Experience:A bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of Human Resources experience preferably in the government contracting arena. Any similar combination of education and experience is acceptable.Experience with resolving complex employee relation issues.Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines such as labor relations, affirmative action plan, employee relations, and federal and multiple state employment laws.Strong communication, time management, and facilitation skills.Experience with a LMS is a plus.Proven ability to work independently and exhibit good judgement.Experience with Deltek Time (timesheets) and UltiPro (HRIS) a plus.HR related certification is a plus.Covid vaccination is required for this position.Company Information:Headquartered in McLean, Virginia and founded in 2009, OBXtek is a fast-growing leader in the government contracting field.
