2425 25th Street SE, Washington, District of Columbia, 200203483, United States of America DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician, Dialysis (PAID dialysis training provided!) to give life in an outpatient dialysis center. Dialysis experience is NOT required. Our training program equips new teammates to become the best dialysis PCT they can be. As a PCT with DaVita you will work daytime hours alongside a dynamic team in a growing specialty with opportunities for career advancement and building relationships with patients. Most of our PCTs work early morning/day shifts. No overnights, no Sundays . Hours of work may vary during the training period; however, you will typically be working between 32-40 hours per week during training. Support for you and your family: family resources, counseling sessions, Headspace(R), backup child and elder care, maternity/paternity leave and more Long term patient relationships. You will get to know the patients you serve as a PCT. Fast paced. Work alongside of a cross functional team of clinicians including nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership. PCTs work under the supervision of an RN. You will work with your head, heart and hands each day . A clinical leader . We offer paid training so you can learn specialty dialysis skills. The PCT training is a mix of classroom, hands-on, and 1:1 time with a preceptor Career paths in healthcare . Requirements: Desire to enter the health care field to care for other people in need Full vaccination against COVID-19 or a medical/religious exemption is required. High school diploma or equivalent Must be comfortable working around blood and needles Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet so wear comfortable shoes! Our work ends when it's safe for our patients. Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed. Health care experience a plus including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
