PRIMARY DUTIES: The Accounting Clerk performs a variety of general support tasks in our accounting department, supporting our Consolidations and North America Core accounting teams. This role provides accounting and clerical support to the accounting department including the following activities: Perform general ledger maintenance activities including GL string set up, processing new Chart of Accounts requests, documenting supports and approvals and tracking all changes. Blackline reconciliation tool administration including reconciliation assignment and account grouping maintenance per requests from regional accounting teams. Oversee general ledger support inbox to respond to GL related inquiries and requests. Assist corporate overhead departments with proper coding of invoices and expenses Prepare monthly intercompany invoices Validate General ledger coding Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records; Prepare monthly recurring journal entries; Maintain documentation supporting intercompany relationships; Prepare monthly reconciliations of select G/L accounts Enter financial transactions into internal databases; Prepare ad-hoc financial reports Investigate questionable data and recommend actions to resolve discrepancies; Participate in special projects as needed Other duties as directed by the Manager, NACA Accounting. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Associate's degree or relevant certification (College degree is preferred) Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures Organizational, verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage deadline requirements and multi-task projects . Ability to work in a fast-paced environment . Excellent Customer service skills . Travel required to FTI office(s).
