Our Agile Systems Engineering team deploys the principles and philosophy of Agile Design and Engineering to maximize mission and business value. This is an opportunity for an experienced Agile practitioner who uses their technical capabilities to make an enterprise wide contributions. You must be highly-motivated and committed to delivering meaningful solutions to complex government challenges. This role will help government sponsors adopt and/or tailor any contingent of Agile methodologies, while leveraging systems engineering practices. You will provide thought leadership and problem solving for government customers in collaboration with stakeholders from private, federal, state and local sectors. Specific responsibilities will include: Lead projects and programs and government organizations in their agile implementations and develop a trusted customer relationship Provide Agile subject matter expertise across multiple government sponsors, industry and academia. Shape acquisition strategies to enable agile implementations and organizational transformation. Engage government leaders in defining the context, problem space and vision to determine capabilities, priorities, road maps, transformation plans and next steps. Lead the development of agile processes, plans and architectures at the department and agency business level, identifying their core competencies, defining measures, and identifying capabilities. Guide government leaders to translate their mission, vision, goals and strategies into actionable programs within a coherent concept of operations Lead projects, programs, federal departments and agencies in transitioning to agile and incremental delivery cycles, recommending appropriate team structures, processes, methods, metrics and reporting structures. Provide assistance to federal agencies in tailoring techniques, concepts and approaches (eg, Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, Lean, DAD, LESS, or other suitable agile approaches) Required: Bachelor degree in a technical major (computer science, systems engineering, information systems, etc.) or equivalent engineering degree. 10 + years experience with any Agile development methodology (eg SCRUM, Feature and Test Driven Development, DevOps, Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Lean Startup, Spiral, Iterative, etc.). Examples are encouraged to be brought/made available at an interview. Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining & maintaining a US government clearance Ability to define, develop, and deliver high quality work products. Documented success in applying agile methodologies plus two years of leadership role (eg, Scaled Agile Framework, Disciplined Agile Development, Scrum etc.) in various domains such as healthcare, defense and security, and acquisition. Experience using and integrating agile collaboration and engineering tools. Preferred: Advanced degree in applicable major Experience working with multiple Government departments or agencies is preferred, but experience working on Agile Transformation and Rapid Application Design or Prototyping projects in other complex environments may be considered. Experience with applying Agile in acquisition and healthcare domains. Experience with Agile teams, processes, planning and estimation and evaluating environments for Agile adoption and implementation.
