SIGNING BONUS: $3,000 Compensation: $45k-$60K Job Description: Protegis is currently seeking a skilled, talented, and highly motivated electrician installer to work out of our Baltimore branch fire alarm install department. Electrician installer candidate must have a strong background in installation and troubleshooting skills for electrical, fire alarm, and low voltage systems. Electrician installer will be performing new, retrofit, and tenant build out for installation of fire alarm and/or low voltage systems for our small to large building clients in the Baltimore and DC metro regions. Electrician installer will be installing electrical wiring systems and equipment for all different types of life safety systems. Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to: Have electrical installation knowledge and skills of local, State, National Electrical Codes (NEC) and NFPA 72 fire alarm systems standards Have leadership qualities, willing to learn, and train with others Have knowledge and skills to read and interpret blueprints Have basic hand tools Have basic troubleshooting knowledge and skills of fire alarm, low voltage, and electrical systems Work independently, with little supervision to organize, prioritize, and communicate with customers to schedule daily route Maintain proper and accurate documentation identifying services performed, deficiencies, repairs needed or completed using paperless software and company owned tablet. Communicate with coordinator about workload, customer info, feedback from field, etc. Participate in on-call emergency service rotation Always present a professional appearance and attitude while on job sites, operating a company vehicle, or on company property Stay up to date on changing technology, installation, and testing methods. and industry standards Maintain vehicle inventory and keep company owned vehicle and tools clean and organized Always adhere to company safe working policies and procedures Skills & Specifications: 3-7 years previous industry experience Must have a valid driver's license with less than 6 points, and pass pre-employment background and drug screenings Must have knowledge of NFPA standards Ability to perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as working within ducts, crawl spaces, climbing a ladder, outside in the heat or cold, on lift equipment, or dirty environments Must be self-motivated Ability to lift 50+ pounds above head Must have excellent communication skills and positive customer service attitude
