A rapidly growing hospitality/management company is looking for an Assistant General Manager for their Baltimore Inner Harbor location. Our ideal candidate must be a team player that is passionate about their work, willing to go above and beyond for our guests and embrace the concept of "all hands on deck". The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in the overall operation and profitability of the hotel through adherence to brand standards and effective leadership of all departments.Responsibilities: Assists General Manager in assigning duties to department heads and providing resources for each department to achieve the operation's goals.Utilizes training resources and standard operating procedures to effectively support the hotel.To the extent that issues cannot be handled by the department heads/managers, receives and resolves, or assist in resolving guest complaints, and employee issues.Inspects hotel for cleanliness and appearance and ensures that below-standard items are promptly addressed.Assists General Manager in preparing annual budgets consistent with the expectations set forth by OwnershipAssists Generali Manager in reviewing monthly financial statements and making necessary operational changes to adhere to budgetary guidelines.Prepares and submits all required paperwork timely and accurately.OTHER FUNCTIONSThe Assistant General Manager may also: Provide management for any department in the absence of the department head/manager.Join local industry affiliated organizations that may be beneficial to the property or the company as a whole.Perform any other duties that may be required to ensure proper property operations or budget adherence.Review purchases made at the resort to ensure SOP adherence and budgetary guidelines are being followed.Qualifications: Minimum of two years experience in hotel/resort operations at a property of similar size and/or quality.Strong organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh School Education or GED requiredBachelor's degree in business administration or hospitality management preferred.
