COMPANY has an opening for a hands-on Chief Datacenter Engineer-Architect for the ATIP systems program. This key position will be providing managed IT support of systems for high-priority defense intelligence collection needs. As the Chief Datacenter Engineer-Architect, with your team, you will enable the build out, onboard and operationalize new datacenter capacity. You will be expected to provide the future data center architecture that meets the needs of the ATIP mission, comply with Information Assurance controls, and migrate to a mature enterprise-class data center architecture. This role calls for a balance of technical operations leadership, influence skills, supportive individual contributions, and expertise in IT operations. You will mentor other engineers and share your knowledge with the team. Job Duties/Responsibilities:Manage an engineering team consisting of system administrators, network engineers, system integrators, and cloud engineers responsible for designing and building the future ATIP IT instantiation. Responsible for directing the architecture and design of a highly available and scalable systems and recommend solution strategies, technologies, and tools to address technical challengesDirect major system integration deliverables through all aspects of the development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design and testing.Oversee enhancement and resolution of performance issues associated with the enterprise infrastructureExcellent skills for troubleshooting hardware and software problems with Linux and Centos serversDirect the development and enhancement of systems running Linux, Centos, and VMware that ensure availability to usersEngineer the enhancement of system performanceDeveloping and maintaining installation and configuration procedures for new server buildsEvaluating and implementing potential new tools and technologiesTracking, reviewing, evaluating and approving Change Requests/Problem tickets using JiraSupporting Information Assurance and Cybersecurity authorization to operate by closing POAMs (plan of actions and milestones/mitigations)Investigating and responding to alerts generated by the various monitoring systems in useEnsuring proper planning and executionof major projects/maintenance activities Required Clearance: Mandatory Security Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Polygraph (#ts/sci) (#polygraph) Required Qualifications:Experience serving as a technical lead to deliver entire projects spanning multiple technical areas.Experience with multi-level classified network architecturesLinux System Administration background with experience managing Linux servers and cloud resources.General understanding of TCP/IP and related protocols (HTTP, FTP, NFS, etc ')A Bachelor 's Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position and four (4) years of relevant experienceAn additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor 's Degree
