Position Description: Xperi Corporation is a leading technology developer and supplier for the automotive industry providing cutting-edge technology including sound processing, digital radio, connectivity, and in-cabin imaging solutions. We are seeking qualified candidates to develop new solutions and applications based on our digital eco-systems to support connected car and ADAS programs. The system engineer will be responsible for requirements analysis, specification development, test plan definition, and problem solving as it relates to connectivity and ADAS applications. Major Areas of Responsibility: The qualified candidate will be expected to: Manage the overall systems engineering process for digital eco-systems for our IOT and automotive end solutions, and ADAS products Lead multi-functional teams with direct and indirect reports to drive adoption of system engineering proposals, modifications, and updates. Partner with Product Management to translate product requirements into actionable engineering requirements Analyze feature requirements and develop technical specifications to meet requirements Create system and product test plans to validate specifications Document use-case scenarios for consumer product development Coordinate requirement and specification reviews with development engineering groups Investigate field reports and operational scenarios to enhance system performance Generate documentation and white papers describing technology Work with automotive OEM and Tier-1 manufacturers to improve product performance Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The qualified candidate shall have the following background: Advanced degree in technical or related engineering fields Fluency in English (written and verbal). Ability to communicate technical concepts. Minimum of 5 years' experience with automotive infotainment, connectivity, or ADAS systems development and design Experience working for an Automotive OEM, or Tier-1 Supplier a plus Experience with communication systems testing and integration procedures Knowledge of digital communications or digital radio applications Experience providing technical support or technical consultation is a plus.
