Position Title: Finance DirectorDepartment: CorporateLevel: ManagerEmployment Type: Salary, Full TimeLocation: RemoteSavara Hospitality is looking for a Finance Director with previous experience in hospitality financial management and reporting.The Finance Director shall have overall responsibility for accounting and finance for a small portfolio of independent hotels.Core Responsibilities include: Management of all accounts payable operations, payroll, and sales tax reporting for all hotels.Preparation of general ledger accounting and reconciliations of bank statements, assets, liabilities and credit cards.Oversight of accounts receivable, credit, cash management, and night audit functions at all properties.Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and monthly and annual financial reports in collaboration with key team members.Establishment and auditing of internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling and disbursements, inventories, hotel equipment, master keys, and associates time records.Periodic analysis of financial data of operations, in order to advise management and to assist in maintaining efficient operations.Support of completing the year-end audit process in conjunction with external auditors and management team.Performance of other duties as assigned. Other skills include:Two years of previous hotel accounting or finance experience preferredStrong proficiency with hotel property management systems, Microsoft Office, and accounting/payroll systems.Ability to communicate across departmental lines (orally and in writing)Technical awareness of the hotel, its operations, departments and job functions, business, and marketAbility to maintain elements of profitability in a business environment while creating positive and enthusiastic teamExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with different types of personalities using sound judgment and discretionAbility to work under pressure, manage emergency situations, multi-task, and prioritize projectsWillingness to maintain a flexible scheduleStrong attention to detail, good follow through and communication skillsPhysical Requirements: Able to sit or stand at a computer workstation for prolonged periodsAble to twist, bend and reachAble to lift up to 25 poundsCompetitive Salary and Benefits (health, dental, and vision insurance along with 401(k) plan).
