Logistics Manager, full time, on site Manage receiving, warehouse and shipping operations to drive improvement and meet customer expectation. Provide tactical and strategic leadership to Logistics team. In addition this Manager will: Plan resources to meet departmental goals including people, equipment, tools, schedule, and action as needed Ensure daily activities are completed in receiving, warehouse and shipping Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees Maintain staff results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees Gain full understanding of ERP and ISV system capabilities to process daily business Manage inventory for best practice relative to accuracy, location, and storage efficiency Execute cycle count program in accordance with requirements Oversee delivery schedules and drive flow of inbound container goods Communicate with relative suppliers supporting warehouse operations Maintain standards of health and safety, company policy and security Provide support to internal customers about all logistics needs. Easy access from 270 or 70 Education assistance available after 1 year Must have knowledge of logistics best practices and ability to apply in a multi-product industrial environment Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and ability to apply in a variable environment Intermediate customer service skills Ability to communicate, verbal or written, ensuring the comprehension of the other party Knowledge of ERP systems and ability to use at an intermediate level Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to use at an intermediate level (Word, Outlook, Excel) Knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory control, cycle counting, storage control, process flow, Knowledge of packaging and freight handling and ability to apply in a non-standard environment Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work in fast paced demanding environment while maintaining professionalism Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, order picker Ability to conceptualize a solution with limited standardization Ability to provide a solution beyond a standard set of options Educational Requirements Associates or Bachelor's degree (in progress) preferred A degree or equivalent experience in warehouse and logistics is required OSHA Forklift certification preferred Physical Requirements Regularly required to talk and hear, walk, stand, and sit May be required to reach, kneel, crouch, or crawl Able to lift up to 50 pounds, more with the aid of material handling equipment Ability to use close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions through the handling of material Occasional risk of shock or exposure to chemicals associated with the use of material handling equipment
