Position Summary: The Director of Finance is a member of the senior management team for OVG Facilities. We are looking for a proactive, driven, and collaborative professional who will be responsible for helping establish the financial infrastructure and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. The Director of Finance must be detail-oriented and have a passion for rolling up his/her sleeves. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensuring data integrity and accuracy Preparing the budget and monthly financial forecasts Development and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and checklists Preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports. Projecting event deals, actual event P&L's, analysis, and "settlement" of shows on the night of events Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings Oversee the revenue and expense recognition process that follows contract terms and GAAP Lead with the annual GAAP audit Lead other special projects as requested by leadership Monitors compliance with all provisions of the management contract Maintains contact with Risk Management Department and Insurance broker for coordination of appropriate coverage Oversee payroll and HR functions in the venue Nonessential Job Functions: Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Required Experience & Qualifications: BS in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university CPA or MBA a plus 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in public accounting and/or financial management at a supervisory level or as department head Venue/Live Entertainment Industry experience is preferred Skills and Abilities: Willing to work nights and weekends as required Be a business partner with other departments ensuring financial success of the venue Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting Excellent organizational skills Demonstrated attention to detail Ability to learn quickly, open to change and enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and ambiguous environment; handle multiple tasks with the ability to re-prioritize and shift priorities quickly Written/Oral communications - ability to speak and write clearly and concisely, get messages across that have the desired effect Experience with Paylocity payroll, and Net Suite accounting system preferred Working Conditions: Minimal Travel (25% travel): Travel between venues will be required. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays as required
