As a Transition and Transformation Manager for Data Center and Cloud Modernization Services, you will lead a program that operates, maintains, and modernizes data center / cloud infrastructure and platforms for a federal government healthcare customer. We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative leader to join our team to modernize and integrate several data centers including legacy systems with cloud-based solutions into a holistic shared services solution. We need energetic an individual who wants to enhance their professional career in a fast-paced federal environment. This role requires a leader who can drive strategy and implement a complex set of processes and technical solutions for the customer. The role will require excellent customer-facing skills, outstanding written and verbal communication, and the ability to build consensus and drive solutions across multiple systems in a multi-vendor environment. The successful candidate will have a strong program management foundation, including software development life cycle management for systems integration and/or implementation and will have participated in large-scale system integration or release management efforts, using agile methodology for development and deployment processes. They also must have experience managing and coordinating the efforts of multiple Agile Teams and be able to lead them to a higher level on the DevSecOps maturity curve. The functional responsibilities will be to serve as the Transition and Transformation Manager on an enterprise data center, cloud operations, and modernization contract responsible for organizing, directing, and managing multiple complex inter-related transitional projects that often require managing teams of contractor personnel at multiple locations. Oversee all aspects of architecting the transformation solution and leading complex modernization projects. Analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project. Provide applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources. In this role, a typical day will include: Lead and guide matrixed project teams Consult with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review ITIL based task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with program and project task schedules and costs and contractual obligations Provide proposed solutions and rough order of magnitude estimates for client requirements Manage and maintain contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer's organization and building relationships with Senior Government officials based on mutual trust Serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage Communicating and coordinating with senior client leadership on the development of transition and transformation plans, providing business requirements direction, and removing any obstacles or conflicts/issues that impede the velocity and progress of project teams Partnering with customers to ensure that business needs are being met and that solutions are aligned with long term goals. Utilizing feedback groups, communities of interest, and surveys to accomplish these objectives Analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project Monitor performance to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met. Produce or provide quality control over contract deliverables Assist the team and client with decisions based on long-term and short-term aspects of the engagement Facilitate change, knowledge and incident teams understanding the client environment and needs as priorities shift Provide applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources Establish and maintain technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates, oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks, and assume the initiative and provide support to marketing personnel in identifying and acquiring potential business WHAT YOU'LL NEED: A BA/BS degree (computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software) This position requires a minimum of 15 years progressive experience in managing/leading IT projects and programs, including experience with data centers and infrastructure programs, and using Agile software development and DevSecOps methodologies 5+ years of experience leading teams migrating applications from on premise to the cloud PMP or PgMP Certified or equivalent required 5+ years of experience leading teams migrating applications to the cloud and virtualized environments 5+ years of experience managing IT Service Management (ITSM) projects and using Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) to standardize service delivery Experience gathering customer requirements for large complex services to develop solutions focused on long term goals. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including experience in presenting material to senior Government officials Strong experience (8+ years) working for a senior leadership client, participating in briefings, presentations, advisory sessions.
