Job Announcement

This is an exciting opportunity to work for Department of Information Technology, an innovative solutions provider focused on improving citizen services and transforming government services. Serving as a subject matter expert in areas of data analysis and statistical representation of departmental and county enterprise data, will oversee data collection, maintenance, and analysis process to ensure the integrity and reliability of organizational data.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Performs statistical analysis to identify patterns based on aggregate data to find risks or opportunities, as well as advise and make recommendations.
  • Assures timely response to requests for reports, data and information.
  • Participates in requirements development and IT Project implementations for ensuring data elements and reporting alignment.
  • Works with agencies identifying and solving problems related to the provision of data and analysis.
  • Specifically schedules and conducts regular meetings with team members to discuss and mitigate data issues; discusses performance standards and devises strategies to increase the department’s ability to analyze and present data.
  • Supports and/or serves on special committees, commissions, panels and fulfills other requests for analysis and support for data initiatives.
  • Stays abreast of both IT and data analytics trends.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, business administration, or related field; plus five years of experience in information systems and process redesign, managing and implementing all phases of the systems development life cycle, including at least one year of supervisory experience.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Working knowledge of BI. Knowledge of Data transformation and Data management. Experience documenting business and system requirements, processes, workflows and test plans. Strong problem-solving ability, critical thinking skills, creative/innovative thinking ability and desire to learn new skills and techniques. Excellent time management skills and attention to detail is required Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including communicating technical issues to non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently while supporting multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is generally sedentary, performed in a normal office environment. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
