Performance Pipe, a division of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP, is the largest producer of polyethylene piping products in North America. The Performance Pipe location identified below has the following job opportunity: Seeking full time employees in a 24/7/365 polyethylene pipe manufacturing extrusion operation, producing high quality polyethylene products. Plant located in Hagerstown, Maryland. Potential of earning up to $28.91 per hour. Available position requires the ability to work safely in a team-oriented environment. Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Applicants must be available to work rotating 12-hr shifts (including weekends and holidays). Must be 18 years or older, high School education or GED required in addition to a valid driver's license. We are looking for detail-oriented candidates who have a demonstrated work history of shift work, in addition to working injury free and following workplace/plant safety practices and procedures. Experience in a manufacturing environment-plastics extrusion process experience a plus. Job duties include but not limited to: Safety - must participate in daily safety routines (both as an individual and team member) Perform calibration functions on processing equipment Use of basic hand and power tools Measure pipe and verify that dimensional tolerances are within acceptable criteria Prepare product for shipping per various packaging requirements Assist teammates as required Successful candidates will need the following qualifications: General knowledge and experience using various types of hand tools. Basic computer and math skills A demonstrated history of learning and applying new information and technology with math and learning skills Proficient in communicating in English language (both verbal and written) Capable of lifting approximately 50 lbs. without an assist Capable of standing for long periods of time on concrete flooring Pre-employment and on-going testing include controlled substances, physical, background check, audiogram and vision. Wages are paid bi-weekly - 1st week is 36.75 hours, 2nd week will be 49 hours. Starting Pay for this position is: $21.20/hr. with time and one-half (1.5) paid for hours worked after 40 hours in a week. Shift differential for night shift work at $2.50/hr. After completing a successful 4 month probationary period and demonstrated learning ability the rate increases to $21.70/hr. Employees are reviewed thereafter on a regular schedule for potential increases. Potential for year-end bonus a plus! Schedule change starts at either 7 am - 7 pm or 7 pm - 7 am. Employees rotate 4 weeks on day shift, then 4 weeks of night shift.
