Description As an Assembly Integration & Test (AI) Engineer, provide system engineering and technical assistance within a Government Satellite Program Office. Responsibilities include acting as the Program Office technical lead focused on executing & tracking satisfaction of criteria leading up to the development contractor's major satellite test events. Additional duties will also include working as a Program Office technical focal point for monitoring and providing status on the assembly, integration & test activities and issues as the Space Vehicle enters single line flow.Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assess program requirements for appropriate verification methodEvaluate contractor-provided evidence to determine verification of requirementsCoordinate verification review efforts across customer (including Government, SETA, and FFRDC)Lead Subject Matter Experts to complete their verification responsibilities in time to support Readiness EventsDevelop tracking tools to monitor and report overall progress to customerReview contractor documentation (test requirement specifications, test procedures, and test scripts) for acceptability prior to Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs)Coordinate changes to test plans & procedures with Government and contractor teams, as appropriateActs as Contractor POC for each Space Vehicle level TRR owned by the customer organizationDraft and/or review new SOW and CDRL language related to AI to ensure compliance with Government standards and plansDevelop and review Requests For Change (RFCs) impacting program testing and associated documentationManage Action Item and Issue lists for each TRR eventDevelop and maintain TRR task lists or schedules with milestones and giver-receiver tasksMonitor test execution, document completed objectives, and report status to senior Government leadershipEvaluate vehicle test results for conformance with expected resultsManage Government review for each space vehicle Pre-Ship Review (PSR) Track Discrepancy Report (DR) work-offs to close liens against the Readiness criteriaIdentify evidence required for closure of allocated enterprise/system-level requirementsQualificationsTYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experienceCurrent TS/SCI clearance with CI polyBS or MS in math, science, or engineering fieldMinimum of 5 years experience with large satellite system AI activities and flowDemonstrated excellent communication, organization, and leadership skillsMust be self-starter, requiring little to no Government directionDesired Qualifications:MS in math, science, or engineering field10 years experience leading similar AI campaigns for NRO systems or Minimum of 5 years experience with NRO GEOINT systemsFamiliarity with NRO electro-optical vehicle operationsCertifications: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)COVID Policy: Prospective and/or new employees will be required to adhere with SAIC's vaccination policy. All SAIC employees must be fully vaccinated and they must submit proof of vaccination on their first day of employment.
