Description: Job Title: Government Relations Co-Op/Intern D (Washington, DC) Job ID: CHQ20211511-72699 Job Location: Washington, DC We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Government Relations intern to provide support on key projects. The selected candidate will become familiar with the Government Relations teams role in legislative and policy work in the national security domain. Job Description: + Attend and summarize relevant DC events, including think tank seminars, Congressional hearings, federal agency meetings, and academic events + Conduct research on legislation and creating memos, support Government Relations team projects, events, and other activities as needed + Develop valuable skills, network, and gain exposure to Capitol Hill, the Executive Branch, the Department of Defense (DoD), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), as well as government affairs, regulation, and legislation supporting the national security domain Qualifications: + Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Government Relations, Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, National Security, or related field + GPA of 3.0 or greater Preferred Skills: + Strong analytical, writing, interpersonal, attention-to-detail, and communication skills + Interest in defense, national security, government and legislative affairs + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment + Ability to multitask and work independently with little supervision L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
