The Public Sector team is looking to add an Account Executive to our growing team, which is based in Washington DC This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in joining a team that thrives on driving mission-critical programs for federal and state agencies. In this role, you'll support two important public health campaigns while being at the center of an integrated team that coordinates collaboration across Edelman's global network of multicultural, creative, research, paid media and earned media experts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to Provide client service support with regular monitoring and reporting, managing timelines, proofreading, and client touchpoints Attend and contribute to meetings, including taking thoughtful notes and recaps in both internal and external meetings; handle scheduling, logistics and provide billing support Research, compile and analyze client and competitor media coverage Monitor news and industry trends that are relevant to client accounts, including traditional and social media channels, and provide points-of-view on how news may influence client programming or perceptions Help create communications plans and materials that meet client objectives Consistently produce high quality internal and external communications content Write, edit and proofread materials including press releases, pitch letters, fact sheets and client correspondence Build lists and effectively pitch stories (via email and phone) to relevant media Participate in new business process including research and proposal preparation Qualifications One to three years of experience working within public relations, government affairs, or public affairs. You have preferably worked with clients in a government agency, public relations agency, or in-house in the health sector. Government contracting and health sector experience is a plus. You have a strong interest in working with clients in the federal government and public health sector You have excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to change and meet deadlines You demonstrate dedication to consistently provide quality work You demonstrate strong presentation skills and the ability to ideate on the spot and actively participate in group discussions You possess solid research, writing, and editing skills You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills You possess a Bachelor's degree Edelman is a global communications firm that partners with businesses and organizations to evolve, promote and protect their brands and reputations.
