We are currently seeking a dynamic Pricing Actuary to lead our commercial actuarial team focused on Professional Liability, Management Liability and Specialty Property & Casualty (general liability, auto, workers compensation). Victor US is one of the largest and most experienced underwriting managers of specialty insurance programs in the world. Victor US markets its solutions through a large distribution network of licensed insurance agents and brokers. This position will report to the Chief Underwriting Officer. What can you expect? The Victor US portfolio is in excess of $550m and based on unique industry segments and lines of business. In addition to the existing portfolio, the leader will be responsible to support the analysis and acquisition of new products and programs. This role is ideal for an individual that is driven by a thirst to learn and develop creative approaches to enable superior risk selection and long term profit. You will actively engage with our program management team and carrier partners to guide our profitability and expand our business. The individual will be responsible for managing two actuaries as well as directing a team within the Victor Global off-shore unit. We will count on you to: Lead actuarial support of Victors Commercial Lines Portfolio including Property, Casualty & Specialty lines. Direct and manage an actuarial team which will include a remote resources Collaborate with program management and partner carriers to develop pricing and strategies to insure long term growth and profit of our portfolio Coordinate with IT and ops on budget, requirements, and project prioritization Development of rate filings including preparing analyses, evaluating loss cost changes, providing pricing recommendations. Collaborate with partner carriers to insure timely and accurate response to insurance department objections Develop and institutionalize pricing standards, best practices, and guidelines Monitor rate, exposure, retention, new and lost business opportunities Leverage corporate underwriting data to support underwriting reviews and quarterly stewardship meeting. Support the development of new products including analysis, pricing and on-boarding What you need to have: Extensive experience in pricing role with 7-10 years of relevant experience FCAS designation or equivalent required Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and team leadership skills Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications & SQL Ability to manage multiple projects, proven organizational and timekeeping skills and a strong sense of attention to detail are essential Bachelor's degree or equivalent required What makes you stand out?
