The Pastry Chef Provides a creative, modern and quality product that is timely, fresh and meets quality and quantity needs of banquets and restaurants. They hire, train, manage and coach the pastry and baking team. They will work directly with the Executive Chef to maintain and improve the culinary operation. Must be a liaison with all departments within the hotel. Skills and knowledge to include baking/pastry education, cost control, communication skills, training skills and knowledge of all pastry/baking related tasks, computer skills, organizational skills, guest contact and staff leadership knowledge. The Pastry Chef ensures that all food production and execution of meals meets the established standards for quality, portioning, presentation and costing and does so in a timely manner. The main job duties include, but are not limited to: Any and all on-property Pastry production responsibilities fall on the Pastry Chef. Pastry support will be related to Amenities, Banquet/Events and Restaurants Maintaining the highest quality standards for sanitation and hygiene in the kitchen As the COVID-19 has currently impacted the Event/Banquet productions, this role would and could help support other areas of culinary support as needed.
