Duties

As a/an DEPUTY DIRECTOR CYBERSECURITY AND CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE PROTECTION MISSION SUPPORT, you will:
-Plan, formulate, conduct, evaluate, and carry out highly sophisticated and in-depth market, sector and strategic analyses of CCIP program issues of concern to the Secretary related to the operations of OCCIP and the execution of the OCCIP mission.
-Serve as the principal advisor position for senior Treasury officials on one or more task forces, working groups or committees with regular or temporary assignments in connection with CCIP issues assigned to the office.
-Coordinate analyses of considerable magnitude on CIP issues covered by the Office. Typically, work products contain all relevant background information, and present alternatives and recommendations on which program decisions can be based. The incumbent may also be responsible for the coordination and preparation of periodic status reports covering ongoing CIP topics covered by the Office.
-Review and comment on analyses conducted and documents from other Federal agencies. Advise policy analysts within OCCIP as well as senior Treasury officials of emerging issues and problems involving CIP issues covered by the office, presenting timely information and substantive alternatives for policy analysts and policy makers to consider in developing and formulating policy positions.

    Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

    Experience developing or analyzing financial services cyber policies, programs, or products. AND

    Experience developing or analyzing legislative or regulatory proposals affecting Office of Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Protection (OCCIP) or other financial institutions. AND

    Experience representing an office in interdepartmental, congressional, or private sector meetings or conferences.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

    • As required by Executive Order 14043 , Federal employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 regardless of the employee's duty location or work arrangement (e.g., telework, remote work, etc.), subject to such exceptions as required by law. If selected, you will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and submit documentation of proof of vaccination by November 22, 2021 or before appointment or onboarding, if you are scheduled to onboard after November 22, 2021. The bureau human resources office will provide information on how to request a legally required exception from this requirement, if applicable. You will be required to provide a copy of written documentation/proof of vaccination such as a CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card prior to receiving a final job offer. If you did not receive a CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card or no longer have it in your possession, contact the provider from which you received your vaccine or your state health department immunization information system. If you fail to provide satisfactory proof of vaccination or to establish entitlement to an exception, you will not be eligible for employment with the agency.
