As a content writer at Cvent, you will improve the effectiveness and impact of content marketing programs and assets that target hospitality professionals. In doing so, you will apply your storytelling talents across a variety of formats, from in-depth thought leadership to Cvent CONNECT sessions and customer stories. You'll have a clear understanding of B2B marketing, and an ability to develop strategic messaging that aligns with brand and product positioning. You will then be able to take that messaging and create compelling content that simplifies multi-faceted concepts and positions Cvent as a thought leader. In doing so, you'll leverage a variety of media and work collaboratively with members of marketing, sales, and product marketing. Specifically, you will be expected to develop in-depth ebooks based on primary research, along with associated promotional content, third-party sponsored content and related conference thought leadership sessions.Our ideal writer is passionate about creating content and curious about how technology powers meetings and events sales, marketing and operations. They'll know a story when they see one, and how to foster strong relationships with subject matter experts. The most successful applicants relish the opportunity to explore new topics, synthesize the perspectives of industry experts, and create a cohesive and effective narrative.What You'll Be Doing:Identify hospitality trends that align with Cvent brand and product positioning, then produce in-depth content assets that bring the story together and can be used by others to develop derivative assets.Interview advocates and customers, on camera and off, for customer stories, testimonials, thought leadership topics and conference sessions.Ideate and develop conference thought leadership sessions, including panel discussions, interviews, and more.Continually raise the bar on content & creativity to produce fresh or optimize existing content that connects with hospitality professionalsDevelop content briefs, surveys, and reports analyzing industry research conducted or sponsored by Cvent that is of interest to Cvent customers and prospects and produce desired copy.Present content concepts to teams; revise content based on feedback/direction.Work closely with key stakeholders across the organization, but especially closely with digital marketing, demand generation, and customer marketing to participate in all stages of the creative process, from brainstorming to conceptual development.Ensure the objectives of content projects are clearly communicated and that measurable engagement goals are met, including asset downloads.Ensure written materials are clear, concise and persuasive to help bring the program strategy to life.Edit and proofread content for consistency of brand voice and messaging.Stay on top of trends through business/industry monitoring and training.Manage time and establish priorities while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing demands.Skills & Requirements:3+ years of proven success producing content preferably in the B2B technology or software industry, ideally in martech, hospitality or events sectors.Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, advertising, marketing, or another related field.Experience working in a multi-national, matrixed organization to develop marketing campaigns in partnership with cross-functional departments.Strong verbal and written command of the English language.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.Proficiency with common office software.At Cvent we celebrate, support and are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
