Position Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Technician B is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (eg construction, electrical, heating ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.). As well as, assists with inspections and tours of the facilities, providing preventive maintenance services and institutes corrective action on any deficiencies. Facilities Maintenance Technicians also performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned to ensure minimal interruption to the operations of the facility.Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to meet required regulations and schedulingPerform maintenance skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting on production and building equipmentPerform building related installation and maintenance including, but not limited to furniture assembly, data/ power installations, plumbing and lighting repairPaint, remodel, refurbish areas as neededMaintain interior and exterior of propertyRepair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenitiesMonitor and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and modificationsKeep areas clean and organized, including cleaning dock levelers, dock bays, pressure washing building surfaces, cleaning HVAC systems (interior and exterior) maintaining a clean maintenance departmentAssist and respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assignedUse a variety of hand and power tools to complete maintenance and repair tasksOperate a forklift, aerial lift, and heavy equipment to assist in heavy lifting maintenance procedures and repairsFunction as liaison with outside vendors as neededCommunicate daily with Maintenance Manager and team with respect to repairs, faulty operations, defective materials, or parts and incident reports when necessaryAny other duties as assignedRequired Skills and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Minimum of 1+ years of experience in building maintenance or other related fieldRecent training and working knowledge in multiple areas of building maintenance including, storage system (racking), electrical, plumbing, welding, hydraulicsGeneral knowledge of OSHA requirements in a warehouse environmentAbility to be forklift certifiedAbility to read building schematics and blueprintsMust possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)Valid Driver's License to operate applicable company vehiclesAcceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulationsAbility to work any schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to read and speak English sufficiently to be able to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official questions, and be able to make legible entries on reports and recordsAbility to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 poundsSome travel may be requiredMust be able to work indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions, temperature conditions and varying heights safelyAbility to utilize an onboard computer and desktop computer (PC, Windows, Microsoft Programs, etc.)This position must pass post-offer background and drug test.Preferred Skills and Experience:Trade school diploma or certificationCommercial Driver's License (CDL)General facilities technical certifications and/or verified training is desirableRecent training and working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems, generators, robotics, dock levelers, OHD maintenance and fire suppression systems.Ability to troubleshoot problems effectivelyPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
