This senior analyst will provide actionable business intelligence in consultation with management and business units for use in strategic decision making around credit risk management. Leverage various data analytics tools including Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, SAS/R/Python and Azure Databricks to translate data into insights. Join the team that is responsible for the analysis around credit risk management, optimal pricing, profitability, identifying emerging risk trends, monitoring portfolio performance and making recommendations to drive strategic change in lending.To perform financial analysis and modeling that maximizes profits and asset growth and minimizes operating losses and other risk exposures. Provide analytical support for various business strategies to ensure Navy Federal goals are met. Utilize and adapt financial models and simulation scenarios to optimize business performance and manage strategic risk exposure. Assist with the production of performance reports to management. Work under moderate supervision.Responsibilities:Develop and optimize risk strategies and credit guidelines that drive portfolio growth while ensuring that portfolios operate within boundaries of acceptable riskCreate and maintain a suite of state-of-the-art Tableau dashboards geared for informing management about business performance and risk/loss mitigationBuild models to evaluate and optimize business strategies across the lifecycle of products/servicesConduct statistical/financial analysis on internal and external market data to discover the tradeoffs of competing business objectives such as growth, profitability, market share and competitive positionProactive research in identifying emerging risk trends by leveraging multi-segmentation, analyzing risk multipliers and incorporating new alternative data assetsObtain quantitative and qualitative data of business processes to analyze, determine and promote data driven decisionsBuild new and/or modify existing database/data warehouse/data mart and business intelligence solutions to meet business and system requirementsProvide financial modeling to evaluate and predict profitability and performance of products and/or servicesOptimize and recommend pricing strategies for products and services using mathematical modeling techniquesDevelop predictive modeling projects using data mining techniques for analyzing current and future performanceCollect and analyze data; synthesize results of analyses, develop and make recommendations and alternatives based on the full spectrum of internal/external considerationsPartner with other departments on the adoption and training of Mission Data cloud data lake including Azure Databricks, DevOps, PowerBI and Azure technology stackCreate financial reports based on the impact of predictive modeling assumptionsDevelop various financial models and provide cost-benefit analyses for business and strategic opportunities, market share, and profitabilityDevelop and test multiple hypotheses using results from analyses to generate and answer new questions leading to more in-depth understanding of business issue(s) being studiedEvaluate/develop/implement analytical techniques and best practices to gain a competitive advantageCoordinate the production of performance reports for managementServe as SME regarding product optimization and risk evaluationsUtilize regression techniques/back testing to identify variances and/or deviations from forecastsIdentify existing and new issues pertaining to compliance with state and federal regulations to ensure necessary policies, strategies and procedures are implementedAnalyze and evaluate competitor data and industry trends to understand current business unit competitive posturePerform other duties as assigned or appropriateQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or the equivalent combination of training, education and experienceHands on experience with data analytics, BI development experience in building visual reports and dashboards with Tableau or Microsoft Power BI, experience connecting to various data sources, importing and transforming dataExperience in financial modeling, forecasting, cost benefit analysis and cash-flow analysisWorking knowledge of statistical methods such as linear and logistic regression, neural networks, decision trees, time-series and forecasting, K-means clustering, survival analysis, etc.Working knowledge of mathematical optimization techniques such as linear and mixed-integer programming, including experience in stochastic optimizationStrong SQL skills;
