Innovative then, and innovative now, Ashley passionately continues its core mission "To transform and save human lives by integrating the science of medicine, the art of therapy, and the compassion of spirituality."A' Organizationally strong, the organization rigorously adheres to its guiding principles, ethics, and a culture of excellence.POSITION SUMMARYMaintains and coordinates all aspects of payroll and assists in the preparation of financial reconciliations and reports.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCollects and verifies staff timecardsCalculates pay for all hours worked including overtime, leave and differential programsValidates initial new hire setup in payroll softwareInvestigates and resolves any discrepancies in payrollResponds promptly and in a courteous and respectful manner to questions and concerns. Works well with other staff to resolve payroll related issues in a positive mannerMaintains confidentiality of payroll recordsValidates payroll deductions; sets up pay garnishmentsScans all payroll reports and supporting documentationAssists with the annual W-2 processWorks with ADP and Ashley's Human Resources Department to resolve payroll related issuesTracks 401k entry eligibility and enters new 401k deductions.Reconciles all payroll associated accounts on a monthly basisPreparation of journal entries for payroll related accountsPrepares monthly payroll reports including FTE and overtime reportsEnsures integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactionsParticipates in new hire orientationProvides training to new supervisors and staff on ADP and payroll practicesAssists in gathering of information for annual auditsAssists in completing other accounting functions/duties as neededIn addition to role responsibilities, each staff member of Ashley, Inc. has the following responsibilities as a part of their employment:Models and reinforces Ashley's mission and core valuesPerforms other duties on an as-needed basisReinforces Ashley's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusionProtects the privacy of our patient's protected health information by maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other relevant Ashley related IT security regulationsDESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Minimum Associates' degree in finance or accounting or high school diploma and 5 years of finance or accounting experienceThree to four years payroll experienceKnowledge of computerized accounting, payroll processing and/or equivalent education and experienceCommunicate clearly and concisely with supervisors, employees and vendorsCount, read and analyze accounting dataAvailable to work holidays as required to meet payroll deadlinesRequires proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Payroll computer systemsWorks with a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentialityStrong customer service orientationWorks well with deadlines and high degree of organization
