We offer competitive pay rates, initial and ongoing on the job training and an opportunity to be a part of a great team!QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in human service field or a high school diploma and relevant experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs.SCOPE OF WORKThe Cross Team Instructional Associate is responsible for providing supportive services to the individuals they serve in accordance with their preferences and choices.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDEImplement the services outlined in the service funding plan, the individual plan, the person centered plan, the treatment plan or other individualized plan of support services designed for an individualSupport participants to access community resources, maintain family relationships and develop friendships.Develop and implement teaching programs to assist each individual to accomplish his/her goals.Implement a daily schedule for each individual.Complete documentation accurately and thoroughly.Maintain written notes on activities implemented with each individual and inform the supervisor on activities and significant events on a regular basis.Complete data as required in behavior intervention plan.Report incidents of injury, significant behavioral issues, or unusual events immediately to a supervisor.Complete monthly and quarterly progress reviews as appropriate.Maintain communication with family members and other team members.Establish a warm and supportive relationship with family members or other team members of each individual.Provide or arrange transportation to activities for each individual as needed.Implement IP and service plan goals and objectives including behavioral management programs as written for each individual and maintain documentation of progress.Assist individuals as needed with independent living skills including personal hygiene activities and household management skills consistent with the person's routine and the individual's IEPPerform any other duties as assigned.Adhere to CSS Policies and Procedures, federal, state and local regulations and applicable standards.REQUIRED TRAINING/PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONSCompletion and demonstration of techniques taught in the MANDT, CPR & First Aid training's, other training's as required by CSS which are provided in orientation.Successfully complete annual re-certification of the MANDT.Recommended to have a valid driver's license and a driving record free of any moving violations for the past two (2) years.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSEmployee must be able to effectively use non-adverse physical intervention strategies with individuals with autism of varying heights, weights and levels of physical strength according to the guidelines presented in Behavioral Principles and Strategies training.CSS is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable organization which provides services and support to children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities residing within Montgomery County, Maryland. CSS was founded in 1994 and began its mission by working collaboratively with individuals, families, and other lead agencies to design and implement new models of service. CSS provides residential services in 50 homes in upper Montgomery County, where two individuals reside in each home with one or two support staff providing care and supervision .
