About the Job:The Human Resource Director aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations for our client located here in Baltimore, MD. The organization is privately-held and is extremely well-known in the area as they have been around for 130+ years with an excellent track record and legacy!This role manages employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. This individual makes sure that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed.Duties/Responsibilities:Enrolls employees in health insurance changes and terminations.Onboarding of all new hires.Enrollment of employees in all benefit plans; Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Life Insurance.Completes workers' compensation claims.Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.Requests new-employee background checks from provider.Process terminations and conduct exit interviews.Assists with recruitment and interview process. Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by hiring managers. Attends local Career Fairs. Tracks status of candidates and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.Performs New Hire Orientations.Manages employee documentation.Participates in in-person training, webinars, and other pertinent educational opportunities.Updates Employee HandbookPerforms other related duties as assigned.Required Experience/Qualifications:At least 3+ years related HR experience.SHRM preferred.Experience with ADP Workforce Now.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.#cfsnov2021
