Our generous benefit package includes:Salary: $55,000 - $75,625 / Annually401(k) match to 5% of earnings - immediate enrollment and 100% vestingChoice of two health plansDentalVisionLife Insurance - no costLong-term Disability Insurance - no costEmployee Assistance Program - no costPaid vacationPaid sick time11 Paid holidaysProfit Sharing eligibleResponsibilities:Remains cognizant of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy ActMay have any of the duties of the Collector I/II positionMaintains assigned work QueuesParticipates in Mortgage Loan Review Committee MeetingsMay mentor less experienced collectorsBankruptcy DutiesReviews and monitors members accounts throughout the bankruptcy processDocuments and handles file maintenance of members' bankrupt accountsDetermines if conditions exist to object to the discharge of Credit Union debt & coordinating the response when appropriateFiles Proof of Claims and Motions for Relief in a timely mannerMonitors and manages timelines within the various bankruptcy chaptersMonitors, communicates, and manages attorney activityRecommends loans for charge offForeclosure DutiesReview and monitors members accounts throughout the foreclosure processDocuments and handles file maintenance of foreclosure accountsPrepares foreclosure packagesReviews and approves affidavitsMonitors and manages timelines within the various statesRecommends loans for charge offMonitors, communicates, and manages attorney activityAttends hearings, mediation hearing and foreclosure salesMonitors the eviction processLegal DutiesReviews and monitors members accounts throughout the legal processPrepares legal files, calculating amount due, completing affidavitsCoordinates action plan with attorneyAnalyzes the extent of the potential loss created by the loan, identifying the problems and provides meaningful input into the plan for resolving the problemsMonitors all attorney accounts to ensure documents and legal proceedings are filed and followed up by legal counsel in a timely mannerResearch responsible parties' financial circumstances, including assets, debt, and credit historyAttending and testifies at hearingsMonitors, communicates, and manages attorney activity and adherence to timelinesQualifications:Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college preferredMinimum of four years of experience in the field of both consumer and mortgage collectionsMinimum of two years of experience with handling foreclosures, bankruptcies, and legal accountsKnowledge of the FDCPA, FCRA, SCRA and MLAMay act as mentor or team lead
