SUMMARY: Responsible for greeting guests, taking reservations, providing guest service andsettling guest accounts upon completion of their stay.What's in it for you:PTOPaid Vacation after 1 year of service401KMedical/Dental/Vision Insurance optionsShort and Long Term Disability optionsEmployer-paid life insurance with additional coverage optionsEmployee Travel ProgramESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Shift available is from 3-11 PM and includes weekendsGreets, checks in, and assigns rooms to guestsPromptly and effectively deals with guest requests and complaintsAnswers phone calls and routes appropriately take accurate messages, makesreservations and uses upselling techniques as directed by General Manager or sales teamAssists sales and marketing efforts as directed by General ManagerHandles confidential information with high integrityMaintains accurate cash, accounting, and reservation recordsResponsible for all cash and credit card transactions so that drawers balance at the endof each shiftAnswers guest inquiries about area attractions, hotel services, directions, or reservationsConducts wake up calls as requestedRecords pertinent guest information and issues in the log book for opening managersreviewKeeps communal areas and lobby cleanAssists breakfast hosts in replenishing food or supplies and cleaning as directedAssists with laundry as directedFollows company policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned by supervisor or managementQUALIFICATIONS :Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of three months hotel guest service experience or equivalent training and experience.Skills:Interpersonal skillsGuest serviceAn innate sense of urgencyAdaptabilityDetail-orientedProficient communicationAbility to multi-taskAdvanced experience with personal computers and related software applicationsAbility to read, write, and speak the English languageWorking Conditions:Will be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.Will be required to work in a fast-paced environment.RELATIONSHIPS:Internal: General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Peers, Sales Manager, Director ofSales and Field Operations at the corporate levelExternal: Guests - To provide customer servicePHYSICAL/COGNITIVE ACTIVITIES:This description of physical and mental activities is not intended to describe essential job functions.
