That's where you come in ABW Appliances is currently seeking professional, highly self-motivated Appliance Service Technician Apprentices. As an Appliance Repair Technician Apprentice, you will become a member of the team responsible for the quality and efficient maintenance and repair of appliances. You will also develop new clients by identifying opportunities to sell additional ABW products. Excellent attendance, punctuality and positive attitude are essential for this position and our business.Apprentice Essential Functions:Assist with Appliance Repairs.Assist with needed tasking both in the parts department and in the field to facilitate operational efficiencies.Appliance Repair Technician Essential Functions:Accurately diagnose and repair appliances in the client's home.Advise clients on the proper operation of their products to extend the life of the appliances.Provide cost estimates for repairs and collect payment and/or payment information from clients for work performed.Complete daily service tickets and other reports as required.Meeting key performance indicators and/or productivity goals.Work with Apprentice Technicians to train them to repair appliances, work efficiently, and ensure effectiveness of all site operations according to objectives.Maintain company provided vehicle.Complete any required OEM/brand training and proactively seek to remain a knowledgeable expert in the appliance repair industry.Various other duties as assigned.. Requirements:High school graduate or equivalent.Working mechanical knowledge, including the use of a computer, tools, and test equipment.Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.Must be at least 18 years of age.Ability to lift/move products weighing 50+lbs.Position Details:Job Type: Full-TimeCompensation: Based on experience. Range typically $25,000 - $31,000 a year with the potential for performance bonuses.Schedule: M-F, rotating SaturdaysBenefits: Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k with employer match, short-term and long-term disability, and paid leave (vacation, personal, and some holidays).
