Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldAlternate Site Manager / NICET Fire TechnicianPOSITION SUMMARYPAE is seeking an Alternate Site Manager / Fire Technician (ASM/FT) for a position located in Niger, Africa, on an Installation Sustainment Services contract supporting the Air Force. The ASM/FT will share responsibility for the performance of the work of full contract matters relating to the daily operation of this contract, including, but not limited to, scheduling of personnel, work supervision and quality control for all tasks associated with this task order. The ASM/FT will share in oversight of all contracted operations and each shall be able to effectively communicate and use technical manuals and references. The ASM/FT will respond to any requests of the Program leadership and perform any other duties as assigned by the Program leadership team and serve as redel when the Site Manager is absent. The ASM/FT will also provide Fire Technician services to include, but not limited to, inspecting and testing all aspects of automatic fire alarm and notification systems, for serviceability and proper operation, reporting, assisting with drawings and plans, quoting repair/replacements, fire extinguisher maintenance, and any other duties encompassed in the PWS or as directed by leadership.The ASM shall be available within 4 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel to discuss problem areas.QUALIFICATIONSA minimum of eight years (8) previous experience at a US Air Force Military Installation with similar mission/project in scope and nature including, but not limited to, experience supervising:Civil Engineering Support Services - OM&R, light cart generators, HVAC, water production and delivery, sign fabrication, grounds maintenance/heavy equipment, airfield sweeping, delta barriers, fire alarms and extinguishers, fire emergency services equipment, custodial, pest management/vector control, wastewater/sewage removal/portable toilet services, refuse collection/removal and recycling, medical waste disposal and hazardous waste managementForce Support Services - linen exchange, fitness equipment, appliance maintenance and repair, food service, DFAC OM&RHazardous Waste Services - medical and industrial hazardous wastePrevious work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforceAt least seven (7) years previous supervisory experienceExcellent organizational, time management and customer service skillsStrong computer skills to include Microsoft Office productsValid driver's license and passportActive Interim/Secret Clearance with ability to maintainAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deploymentCountry visa (as required in line with the US Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide)OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESExperience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standardsStrong analytical capabilities with respect to metrics and process improvementEDUCATIONBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceNICET Level II or aboveWORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONSThis position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors.
