Foster Care Case Manager- Bilingual $2,000 relocation assistance $1,500 sign-onRequisition #: req5976Location: Crofton, MDHours: Full-time (40 hours/week)This position is offering a $1,500 sign-on bonus and 2,000 relocation assistance.Bethany is changing the world through family. Bethany is at the forefront of creating and implementing solutions to meet the growing needs of vulnerable children and families in the US and around the world.As an UC TFC Case Manager, you will be primarily responsible for providing casework and supportive services to children in foster care, foster families, and biological families referred to Refugee and Immigrant Services TFC program.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Complete a trauma-focused Initial Intake Assessment within 24 hours of arrival ensuring the youth feels safe and well orientated to the agency and foster home; Contact the youth's sponsor (if known) immediately upon arrival or as soon as possible and ensure sponsor is sent the Family Reunification Packet (FRP). If no known sponsor is identified, work with the youth and the consulate (as well as other resources) to identify a sponsor for the youth;Work with sponsor (ie UC family or close friend) through a trauma-focused lens to complete FRP to ensure timely and safe release of UC;Ensure that all youth on caseload receive mandatory services while in care (ie mental health, medical, recreational, educational and other supportive services) through meeting with youth once per week, leading the treatment team (in conjunction with the youth's therapist), participate in weekly staffing's with treatment team and stakeholders and meeting regularly with the foster parents to address any concerns in service delivery;Attend, facilitate, and assist with providing on-going education and support services to foster parents;Co-lead education group sessions in conjunction with educational staff;Maintain accurate, and current information on foster children in care, while ensuring ORR and Bethany's internal documentation practices and reporting requirements are met;Transport clients on an as needed basis;Assist the licensing team in ensuring foster families are well trained and equipped to support the UC's in their home;Attend and prepare for required court hearings (if applicable);Schedule meetings with foster parents and foster children in the foster home on at least a monthly basis;Translate both written and verbal communication for program clientele and staff, if bi-lingual;Maintain effective communication with community agencies or individuals involved in service provision;Attend internal and external training and apply newly gained knowledge in providing services;Attend weekly meetings with supervisor to consult on cases, to review case plan and direction and to evaluate client participation and progress;Keep abreast of community resources and refer families for support, as needed;Stay abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services;Complete other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field of study from an accredited college;Bi-lingual English and Spanish, prior experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations preferred;Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality;Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions;Active motor vehicle license and a reliable automobile with adequate insurance coverage;Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commitment.We value and embrace the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion; our culture is strengthened and our workplace is more dynamic.
