This role can be performed remotely. Job purposeThe opportunity is a Senior Attorney role and entails joining a highly successful, entrepreneurial company. The Senior Attorney will work closely with our General Counsel in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of agreements. The Senior Attorney will also be engaged in legal research in a number of different areas.The opportunity is unique in the ability to learn and be involved in various aspects of the business, as well as gain experience with the elements of growing entrepreneurial company. Duties and responsibilities Reviews contracts between the company and its customers and vendors, including drafting and negotiating key provisions in such contracts.Prepares compliance reports with various regulatory agencies.Provides research and related support to assist Senior Attorney, General Counsel and Legal team with diverse contractual issues and regulatory matters.Handles such other legal matters and duties as needed.Assists as needed with litigation and coordinates litigation process with outside counsel. QualificationsJuris Doctor degree from an accredited law school with five years minimum of law firm and/or in-house experience focused on drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.Strong research, writing and oral communication skills.Ability to work closely and collaboratively with a team as well as independently.Self-starter with the ability to provide proactive, accurate and effective legal supportAbility to move agreements forward quickly in order to meet critical business objectives in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment.Strong work ethic, organizational skills, business sense, and attention to detail.
