Patent Legal Staff (Intellectual Property Specialist)NSIP LAW is a prospering law firm located in downtown Washington, DC Our practice has grown over the years. We offer a competitive salary with opportunity to grow along with our dynamic group and to be active participants in our practice.Based on new opportunities, we are currently seeking resumes for a Patent Paralegal (Intellectual Property Specialist) with a minimum of 1 year of patent prosecution law firm experience and/or paralegal certificate.Korean language Competency also required (Speaking, Reading, and Writing).Interviews will be conducted via telephone and/or Zoom or other video assisted meeting.Duties and Responsibilities (Continued/Additional Training Provided): Prepare Patent application materials and related filings -. Prepare Declaration, Power of Attorney and Assignment documents for execution. Record Patent Assignment documents via EPAS. Prepare IDS and, if applicable, obtain references for filing with USPTO. Ensure the integrity of all document management workspace filing is upheld. Open and close new mattersWork closely with patent docketing and record keeping teamCollaboratively work with attorneysManage correspondence to prevent loss of patent rights and to assure accurate and timely workflowMaintain and update patent filesProvide back-up support to other Intellectual Property Specialists/Assistants as assigned or neededRequirementsStrong attention to detail, excellent communication (both written and verbal) organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle multiple projects under limited supervision, meet deadlines, and be a strong team playerAbility to work well with others in cooperative environment, exercise discretion and good judgment.A strong work ethic and sense of responsibility, reliability, and responsivenessAbility to handle multiple, competing priorities in an effective mannerAbility to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines; must be able to work effectively in deadline pressured situationsProficiency of Microsoft Office Suites: outlook, word, excel, power point programspatent experience and/or paralegal certificateAll inquiries will be held strictly confidential.
