We invite you to join our growing creative and passionate team of hospitality professionals as an Events and Catering Director.Position SummaryWe are searching for an enthusiastic Events and Catering Director with a "can-do" attitude to drive our restaurant group's private dining/events and catering.The right candidate has multi-unit experience and possesses a strategic eye for developing long-term relationships and enhancing our brand-to-guest experience on behalf of the restaurant group. As Events and Catering Director you will be responsible for creating experiences that exceed guests' expectations and collaborating with staff to ensure seamless execution. This leadership role requires a passion to make others happy, delivering exceptional service, and selling an experience.This ideal candidate will have combined 5 years of experience in hospitality and event planning, preferably in upscale dining and/or a hotel. This candidate should demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, superb interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills, and excellent time management. You will be responsible for selling, planning, and overseeing the execution of all private dining, events, and catering.Tasks and Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited To:Responsible for ensuring guests' needs and requirements are effectively communicated to appropriate teams.Work with marketing on event and catering marketing materials.Reinforce brand-to-guest relations.Proactively promote all event spaces within the restaurant group to maximize private events. through outreach and marketing.Build and promote lasting guest relationships.Develop private events clientele while maintaining existing relationships.Coordinate with guests menu selections, floor plans, dietary requirements, etc.Conduct site visits with potential guests.Work with culinary and beverage teams to create attractive and competitive private events packages.Mentor junior event staff.Assist in off-premise events working with Chef Nicholas Stefanelli to coordinate staff, menu, and equipment as needed.Proactively grow and cultivate event clientele outside of the current book of business.Nurture and cultivate current restaurant groups' private events and catering clientele.Cross-Sell events and catering within the restaurant group.Responsible for ensuring guest inquiries are responded to in a timely manner.Responsibilities include an annual review of industry standards to conclude Comp sets of comparable brands, contracts review, vendor relationships and event pricingResearching catering and private events trends to ensure restaurant groups offering are competitive.Responsible for finalizing detailed contracts and ensuring that private dining or catering orders reflect guests' requirements.Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payments.Responsible for creating and distributing, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Ensuring they have been approved by guests and the internal team in a timely manner. Include details that will ensure a successful event or catering experience.Responsible for maintaining and growing a robust list of outside vendors that will help enhance guests' experienceWorking with ownership and the Director of Operation, ensure that private event spaces are meeting and exceeding guests' expectations.Responsible for ensuring private events or catering is executed properly.Responsible for ensuring a smooth and professional hand-off/introduction to guests and event/catering lead.Responsible for following up with guests to receive feedback and thank them for their business.Determining guests' requirements and proposing catering options.Qualifications5+ years experience in event planning or hospitality (preferred)Experience using TripleSeat or other event management software (required)Experience using reservation software like Tock (preferred)Experience using POS systems like Toast (preferred)Amenable to a full-time flexible scheduleMust be:Self-starterMotivated to learn and teachCommitted to excellenceDependable & punctualHospitality-focusedProfessional & personablePassionate about great service and a great guest experienceTeam playerHighly organizedGood Leadership skillsMulti-TaskerCreative Food Group strives to cultivate an inclusive work environment and is proud to celebrate diversity within our ranks.
