Peraton is seeking a Senior RF/Antenna Systems Engineer to join our team in Greenbelt, Maryland to support our Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. As prime contractor on the SENSE contract, Peraton is responsible for the operation, maintenance, sustainment and systems engineering of NASA's worldwide satellite communication networks. The successful candidate will be responsible for systems engineering activities associated with the development of NASA communications ground systems in support of new and existing programs and initiatives and NASA science missions, to include radio frequency (RF) communications analysis. This position also involves being a part of a dynamic team executing concurrent planning and execution to meet high-priority national timelines for missionsDevelop systems engineering-related documentation including:Requirements documentsSpecificationsInterface Control DocumentsValidation & Verification PlansLead and support technical planning for antenna procurement and associated antenna subsystemsPlan and execute end-to-end systems integrationPerform analysis, design, and development of ground systemsPerform RF communication system performance analysisRequired Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or other related technical discipineAt least 8+ years of experience in the analysis, design, and development of communications systems, to include RF communications analysisExperience with the development and ownership of Systems Engineering artifacts to include Requirements Documents, Specifications, Interface Control Documents, and Validation and Verification PlansExperience with the development of technical artifacts to support antenna procurement to include the development of requirements documents and related specificationsExperience with supporting the process of technically evaluating vendors associated with antenna procurement to include associated antenna subsystems.Experience with planning and/or participation in end-to systems integration events to include the flow of data from missions throughout the entire system to the userDemonstrated experience with trade studies, RF communications system performance analysis, and varied analysis, design, and development activities associated with ground systemsDemonstrated experience as an expert serving in the role as reviewer for teams preparing for Key Decision Points (KPD's) and/or Milestone Decision Reviews for projects and programsPrior experience working with federal government programs and projectsThis position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
