The Director of Membership Services will coordinate and execute all Chamber membership recruitment, retention and recognition functions; promote the Chamber mission, relevance, benefits and events to all members and the public; coordinate and lead all Business After Hours and Ribbon Cutting events; provide staff support to the SACC Ambassador Committee; collaborate with the SACC Marketing & Media Manager to promote the SACC on social media and produce the annual Chamber Directory; support the general needs of the Chamber. Essential Duties: 1. Use relationship building, warm referrals, targeted invitations, and cold calls to grow the Chamber membership and diversity by recruiting and onboarding new businesses. 2. Respond to member calls, public inquiries and walk ins seeking information about the Chamber, membership benefits, and related community functions. 3. Coordinate and execute all stages of Ribbon Cuttings and Business After Hours events including event facilitation, taking photos and posting to social media. 4. Provide staff support, necessary data and materials needed for monthly Ambassador meetings that welcome new and retain first year members. 5. Prepare and deliver Chamber orientation presentations to new and existing members. 6. Coordinate and execute member retention efforts for all members leading up to the coming year's membership renewal process. 7. Implement membership follow up and collections calls for past due membership invoices. 8. Maintain an accurate membership database and provide/data reports for weekly team and monthly board meetings. 9. Administer, expand, and market member benefit opportunities, connecting members' business interests and priorities to related benefits. 10. Develop and implement monthly member recognition activities, showing appreciation for their membership support and contributions to the wider community. 11. Collaborate with the SACC Marketing & Media Manager to promote Chamber news, events, and mission-specific information. Benefits: Paid Leave Life insurance Telework available upon approval All Federal and State Holidays Opportunity for health benefits Job Requirements:Required Qualifications: Friendly and patient service-oriented mind-set and skills Ability to elicit information, identify needs, and connect needs to resources Experience with generating sales leads, prospecting, cold calling and meeting sales goals Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to self-manage workflow, take initiative, and problem-solve Outgoing and team-oriented mindset a must High level of Microsoft Office Suite competency Ability to work occasional evening events Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of experience in direct sales, sales management and/or nonprofit support services Prior Chamber of Commerce experience is a plus Experience using a Customer Relations Management software (High Rise or equivalent) Data base management skills A four-year college degree is preferred but relevant work experience will be considered
