The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Public Sector at Gigamon will play a major role formulating the strategy for value differentiation and business development for the high-performing Public Sector Sales Team. These efforts will provide the foundation for continued growth in revenue and market share. Reporting to the Vice President, Public Sector, with significant collaboration with Gigamon's CTO and Chief Product Officer, the successful candidate will have broad responsibilities, including developing technical vision and strategy for Federal and State and local government and Education (SLED) markets, assisting with business-development and sales efforts through public speaking, authoring thought-leadership papers and articles, supporting executive-level and other strategic sales activities. Other responsibilities will be to closely partner with the company's CTO and cross-functional Product teams to ensure that Gigamon's solutions are aligned with Public Sector customer needs. The Public Sector CTO will already have - and further develop - relationships with Public Sector senior executives while working to establish Gigamon as a thought leader and a core component of emerging security architectures (eg, Zero Trust), rooted in standards and best practices the that shape Public Sector requirements and procurement activities. He/she will also partner with Gigamon's Public Policy Team on participation with standards bodies and legislative initiatives. Basic Qualifications: * Prior experience as a CIO, CISO, CTO or deputy to one of those positions * Recognized expert with experience supporting one or more significant government agencies * Deep knowledge in security including current cybersecurity frameworks, Zero Trust and network-based detection and response techniques and security in a hybrid cloud environment * Strong knowledge of network, general IT and cloud infrastructure and operations * Experience in business development or technical roles at a technology manufacturer or System Integrator is strongly preferred, especially with growing duties and responsibilities supporting the Public Sector * Strong skills in oral and written communication skills and public speaking * Ability to influence and persuade others, as well as handle difficult negotiations requiring a well-developed sense of strategy * Experience in proposal support activities to include providing strategy and technical guidance for solutions and reviewing, editing, and drafting sections of proposals * Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior executives in large or highly strategic accounts * The successful candidate must be a US Citizen * Top Secret security clearance is a plus#06022021
