We value longevity and make a strong commitment to invest in our teamJob Summary: The Server is responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner ensuring they have a great dining experience.Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for serving cocktails, wine, beers, and all beverages, food from the bar menu, and, upon request, meats, sides and desserts from the main menu.Greets guests and presents them/and or calls their attention to the food and beverage menus and the music calendar.Informs guests of specials, specialty/featured food and beverage items (specialty cocktails, Bourbon and Tequila List, Texas wines, Long neck beers an sodas including Big Red), and menu changes, makes suggestions, and answers questions regarding food, beverages, and service.Responsible for suggestively selling specialty cocktails, wines and beverages, and for courteously up-selling when appropriate.Takes food and beverage orders from guests (either written or memorized), and relays order to kitchen staff and bartender as appropriate.Processes guests orders to ensure all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis.Communicates with managers, host/hostess, bus persons, kitchen staff, and bartender, and coordinates entire station to ensure guest satisfaction with the beverages, food and service.Responsible for ensuring all items are properly rung up and accounted for on guests Meal Ticket.Present, open, and pour wine when serving guests.Observes diners to ensure that guests are satisfied with the food and service, responds to any additional requests, and determines when the meal has been completed.Totals bill and accepts payment, or refers guest to cashier or host/hostess as appropriate.Assist bus person with stocking work stations, removing, and resetting soiled glassware, dishes and silverware from table at conclusion of each course, and cleaning and resetting vacated tables.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High school graduate or equivalent desiredMust be able to communicate and understand the primary language(s) of the work location, and understand the primary language(s) of the guests who typically visit the work locationMust be able to perform simple mathematical calculationsPrior server/cocktail server experience requiredA knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures, generally involving a minimum of one year as a busserMust be customer sensitive and possess a sense of timing so that different courses may be served at the proper timeMust be able to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours in lengthMust have the ability to lift pans and trays frequently weighing up to 25 poundsJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $15.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offPhysical Setting:BarCasual dining restaurantSchedule:HolidaysMonday to FridayNight shiftWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:TipsWork Location:One locationWork Remotely:NoWork Location: One locationby Jobble
