Actively seeks to build relationships and establish clienteleFollows opening and closing procedures/checklistsKnows the food and beverage menu, and is able to speak to the menu from memoryRings in orders into point of sale systemCollects payment for food and drinks served and accurately processes payment and/or makes change using prescribed cash handling proceduresCleans and maintains an organized work area, which may require reaching, bending, stooping, lifting and working with cleaning agentsUnderstands and practices proper safe food and beverage handling procedures in accordance with local government standards, to include proper cleaning and handling of bar glasswareCards all guests that appear to be under the legal drinking age and refuses to serve alcohol to minorsMakes sure that all drinks are removed from the bar and tables by the state's legal time.Completes side-work tasks as assignedStrives to hit sales goals as assigned by the general managerQualificationsA minimum of 6 months experience in high-volume, upscale casual dining or an equivalent service environment; previous server experience highly desirableAble to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day preferredAble to lift and carry up to 40 poundsAble to work calmly and effectively under pressureHigh school diploma (or equivalent) requiredAble to perform basic mathematical calculationsMust be of legal age to prepare, serve, and ring alcoholic beveragesAble to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends, and some holidaysCertified in (or able to be certified in) responsible alcohol service (as required by state or local law)High energy and stamina.
