The Loan Production and Sales Manager has responsibility for all aspects of the loan production process including origination, processing, closing, and funding through the Credit Union\u2019s on-line channels. The Loan Productions & Sales Manager is also responsible for achieving service, sales, and operational performance excellence while managing associated risk and compliance for all activities of a large lending pipeline.

The Loan Production and Sales Manager is responsible for developing goals and associated activities to ensure organizational and team objectives are met or exceeded. The Loan Production and Sales Manager must be highly responsive to issues and concerns from members and internal staff to ensure timely resolution.


  • Develop, review, and recommend strategies, objectives, policies and procedures for Consumer Lending division that support the credit unions goals and mission
  • Responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of production of all Consumer Lending Loan Production functions, with heavy emphasis on introducing additional products to our members
  • Provide daily direct operational oversight of Consumer Loan staff to include loan origination, funding, sales internal controls, compliance, policies and procedures and direct oversight of Consumer Loan Officers and Loan Processors
  • Monitor, coach, and train loan officers on risk management, consumer privacy, and information security as it relates to their daily job duties
  • Responsible for evaluating the training requirements of lending staff and partner with the internal training department to implement additional training opportunities
  • Effectively perform administrative/managerial responsibilities including performance appraisals, progression plans, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring
  • Responsible for sales initiatives in the department, ensuring cross-sales meet established goals
  • Prepare reports and scorecards
  • Interpret, understand, and explain lending and deposit products, services, and features to employees or customers when problems are escalated
  • Ensure all loan production policies, procedures, and guidelines are created and properly communicated to staff
  • Participate in the development of new and revised procedures, methods, and forms that have an effect on the functions, responsibilities, and activities of Consumer Lending
  • Routinely review individual and team production and quality reports to ensure performance issues and compliance findings are corrected
  • Work directly with appropriate internal staff to ensure optimal set-up and functionality of primary consumer lending systems, specifically Meridian Link (LoansPQ)
  • Keeps division informed of pertinent policies, procedures, and regulations affecting the credit union and their jobs
  • Provides regular updates and alerts regarding all Consumer Lending functions to the VP, Consumer Lending
  • Participate in coordination with VP, Consumer Lending in the development of loan strategies, marketing campaigns, annual budget process, monthly business reviews, daily assignments and special projects
  • Must have the ability to work under critical time constraints and service level agreements
  • Ability to make decisions and exercise discretion and confidentiality with regards to member/employee information
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and all related Credit Union policies and procedures


  • Bachelor\u2019s Degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in all aspects of Consumer Lending, with at least three years previous experience in a management/leadership role is required
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Consumer Lending Manager role can be considered in lieu of Bachelor\u2019s degree
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal and State Credit Union/Banking Regulations, including Regulation B, Regulation Z, and the Card Act
  • Extensive experience with all aspects of the loan process including origination, underwriting, closing, funding, and quality control. Must possess understanding of critical regulatory and financial guidelines
