Description:

Using the Quality Caring Model, demonstrates acceptable performance and applies the nursing process to plan and manage the care of routine patients including patient and family education and continuum of care planning on our brand new Observation Unit. Will monitor and treat patients held over from the Emergency Department for 24-48 hours before discharge or admission to a hospital unit.

Location: Holy Cross Health has two hospitals and four healthcare centers all a short driving distance from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD
Minimum licensure/certification required (if applicable):

Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (BSN or MSN) preferred.

Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.

BLS certification

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

2 years minimum experience in specialty required for bonus eligibility.

Ability to analyze and synthesize information within a short period of time Effective problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize Ability to work well with individuals and groups.
