Duties

  • Directs, develops, and performs logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for major complex systems.
  • Responsible for cradle to grave intensive logistics management to support a complex, major weapons system from concept through field deployment.
  • Plan or develop integrated logistics activities the Centers Integrated Sustainment Logistics and Readiness mission.
  • Provide input to acquisition or integrated Logistics Support plans.
  • Analyze relations between technical aspects of the total Integrated Support (ILS strategy).
  • Analyze performance metrics to detect trends or isolate causes for declining performance.
  • Resolve differences between military services/agencies to achieve Integrated Logistics Support objectives.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the NH-03 position, applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower pay band of NH-02 or GS-11 equivalent grade level which includes 1) Experience in Interpreting or reviewing logistics policy/regulatory guidance for all aspects of Life Cycle Integrated Logistics Support (ILS); 2) Experience in using automated data processing concepts, systems capabilities, and economic usage to effectively complete assignments and 3) Experience in managing integrated logistics support activities for major weapons systems.


Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required specialized experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for specialized experience is permitted.
