Duties

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Monitors status of patrons, allowing only authorized patrons and their guests to use the Bowling Center. Assist patrons with lane assignment, shoes, selecting house balls as needed. Provides direction on use of the bowling scoring equipment as needed. Completes transactions using the Brunswick System. Assists foods service workers as needed in set up of snack bar. Prepares the lanes for leagues or recreational bowling. Answers telephone inquiries, takes reservations as needed. Verifies the Daily Activity Report to include pin spotting machine readings, completed by the Cashier. Enters the register tape reading on the report in accordance with the SOP. Handles all patron complaints and reports all incidents to the Manager. Insures that all the facility is maintained in an excellent state of cleanliness at all times. Completes the fire checklist prior to securing. Properly secures the Bowling Center at the end of the day. May open or close the Bowling Center.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Performs other related duties as assigned/required.

MINIMUM QUALIFCIATIONS:

Minimum one-year experience in a related recreational activity. Skill to learn MCCS policies, rules and regulations involving the area, and ability to communicate orally and in writing. Knowledge of basic mathematics. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Knowledge of Retrac preferred. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the qualifications above.
