Duties
Interns serve as junior financial analysts and may be involved in all stages of project development and relationship management as part of a project team. Interns also work on tasks in any stage of the origination, relationship management, and compliance process for three to six transactions, depending on the number of transactions that a project team is involved in. Qualifications
Applicants must be U.S. citizens enrolled at least part-time, in an undergraduate or graduate level program at an accredited college or university, studying Business, International Affairs, International Development, International Relations, Accounting, International Economics, Statistics or Finance. Exposure to and experience in excel and financial modeling, as well as excellent research and communication skills are required. Enrollment in a graduate level degree program in the above mentioned areas of study, previous international business experience, and foreign language skills in Spanish, French, and/or Russian are highly desired.

Stipulations of Employment:
As required by Executive Order 14043, Federal executive branch employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 regardless of the employee's duty location or work arrangement (e.g., telework, remote work, etc.), subject to such exceptions as required by law. If selected, you will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and submit documentation of proof of vaccination by November 22, 2021 or before appointment or onboarding with the DFC (if later than November 22, 2021). DFC will provide additional information regarding which forms of documentation can be accepted and how you can request a legally required exception from this requirement.

- Reviewing applications for financing and financial statements;
- Building or analyzing models of projected project cash flows;
- Researching various policy issues;
- Preparing country economic and political risk analyses;
- Preparing credit reviews of outstanding loans;
- Collaborating with Investment Officers to present the proposed loan to an approval committee;
- Working with members of other departments to receive required policy clearances; and

- Must be suitable for Federal employment, determined by background investigation
- Selective Service registration required for male applicants, unless exempt
- Must be actively enrolled (at least part-time) in an accredited college or university
- U.S. Citizenship is required
