Job Description

How would you use software to help The Washington Post deliver content to millions of readers each day? The Washington Post site engineering team is looking for curious, creative and upbeat students from interesting backgrounds to work with us on our back-end services team. You'll gain hands-on experience as a software engineer embedded on our scrum team, learn new technologies, write code that gets deployed to a production environment, and make a difference!

Tools We Use: Python, AWS, Akamai.

If you work with tools like these, you'll likely fit in with us technologically. If you haven't worked with all of these tools yet, that's okay! None of them is a requirement for applying. An enthusiasm to learn is!

The Post strives to provide its readers with high-quality, trustworthy news and information while constantly innovating. That mission is best served by a diverse, multi-generational workforce with varied life experiences and perspectives. All cultures and backgrounds are welcomed.

The innovation doesn't end in the Newsroom - dozens of teams power The Washington Post. We are now hiring the next innovator - how will you Impact Tomorrow?
