Adventist HealthCare (AHC) seeks to hire an experienced The Clinical Informatics (CI) Director who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

The Clinical Informatics (CI) Director applies expert knowledge of nursing and other related information systems to the management and communication of data, information and knowledge in nursing practice and administration.

As the Director, you will:
•Develop and implement goals and objectives for informatics program that
meets clinical and financial requirements.
•Responsible for coordinating or facilitating maintenance of all clinical and/or
productivity computer systems that are employed within the organization.
•Plan, organize, direct, implement and control informatics programs in
collaboration with physicians, management, and other hospital personnel.
•Develop, implement, supervise and participate in the education and training of
staff related to the installation of new systems and software throughout the
•Provide, analyze and manage data that assists in decision support and
outcomes management.
•Implement informatics solutions and data structures that support nursing and
patient care.
•Analyze expected and potential impact of IT on work processes, coordinates
process redesign efforts to streamline and improve work processes.
•Supervise the activities that support the life cycle of nursing and related CIS.

Education & Experience

•Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
•Master's Degree in Nursing Informatics or graduate informatics certification
•Minimum of 5 years' clinical nursing experience, and three years of progressive
responsibility in information system administration including leadership and
participation in implementation of a major information system
•Experience in informatics is preferred
•Current Maryland License in Nursing
