As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial accounting processes for assigned AHC entities, fixed assets and the AHC Employee Health Plan:

• This includes managing the monthly close processes for these entities and disciplines to ensure balances are accurately reported in the AHC general ledger.
• Manages his/her team to be prepared to explain key elements of monthly financial results to respective service line leadership during monthly close meetings.
• Oversees the compilation and issuance of a standard set of deliverables in conjunction with the monthly accounting close process.
• Assumes responsibility for internal and external reporting for assigned entities and disciplines.
• Ensures balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a regular basis.
• Coordinates and responds to customer inquiries for timely and insightful information of operations and accounting activities.
• Works collaboratively and as a partner with entity leadership on financial and operating initiatives and goals.
• Contributes knowledge, ideas, and time to create an environment that enhances team performance.
• Manages a staff of accountants/senior accountants responsible for the accounting of assigned AHC entities and disciplines.
• Reviews activities of his/her staff to ensure exposures and/or reserves are adequately evaluated and addressed.
• Maintains effective communication with staff, entity leadership and other AHC team members.
• Provides support for the conduct of AHC's annual audit process.
• Works with an attitude and work approach of process improvement.

Required Qualifications: Competencies

• Working knowledge of health care industry required
• The ability to plan and coordinate projects from start to finish, set and meet objectives, budgets and deadlines
• Ability to work independently and handle a multi-task environment
• Proficient in PC skills such as the Windows work environment; including Word, • Excel and PowerPoint
• Possesses strong attention to detail skills, good judgement and strong communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Must have the ability to guard confidential information

Required: Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting required.
• Five years of healthcare accounting experience or general accounting that includes the preparation and analysis of financial statements and account reconciliations required
• CPA Preferred
