Senior Economic Researcher

Senior Economic Researcher for American Institutes for Research to report to our Arlington, VA Headquarters. May telecommute. Design and conduct research projects. Develop conceptual models, experimental designs, and case studies. Collect and analyze large data sets. Perform policy analysis. Conduct site visits. Write technical reports and proposals. Make presentations to government clients. Initiate business development activities for current and new clients. Manage research projects and provide leadership to team members. May undergo background checks. Must have PhD in Economics, Public Policy, or related field and 3 years related experience performing quantitative research related to economic policy. Also requires skills (3 years experience) in: applying advanced statistical methods; communicating quantitative research and methods to non-technical audiences; STATA; analyzing large-scale data sets; and designing experiments and quasi-experiments.
