Duties

• You will ensure the accomplishment of work in accordance with the supervisor's priorities and time-frames.
• You will ensure the observance of safety procedures, housekeeping rules, security requirements, and keep the supervisor informed of work progress.
• You will have the ability to evaluate the depth of the rework required to satisfy specifications of in-house job assignments
• You will identify and know the working properties and characteristics of a wide variety of sheet metal and composites used in aircraft structures; i.e. fiberglass, honeycomb, graphite, aluminum alloys, titanium, magnesium, and stainless steel.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE performing duties including carrying out work, guiding others, resolving problems and ensuring that all safety rules and procedures are followed; evaluating the depth of work required to satisfy technical directives and engineering instructions; coordinating work assignments with shop supervisor as they apply to scheduled aircraft deliveries; ability to identify and comprehend the working characteristics of a wide variety of sheet metal and composites used in aircraft structures; using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, ball gauges, calipers, and other hand measurement devices used to determine critical hole data such as diameter, tear out, edge distance and ligament; operating complicated shop tools and equipment, both hand and power, such as shears, brakes, rollers, saws, drills and grinders; interpreting blueprints, technical directives and incorporating various aircraft modifications.
