Duties

  • You will assist in maintaining a centrally managed educational accounting system, Navy Campus Management Information System (NCMIS).
  • You will Identify, analyze and research problems and functions as a technical expert regarding the Tuition Assistance accounts resolution process.
  • You will provide primary sources of educational information to military personnel, spouses, dependents, DoD civilians and all others seeking information at the Voluntary Education Center.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Per E.O. 14043, selectee(s) must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by 11/22/2021 or date of employment (which ever comes later) except in limited circumstances where an exemption is approved due to a disability or sincerely held religious beliefs.
  • You will be required to possess a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing educational services and information on the availability of educational funds to support education programs for successful operation.
